Automatic method for counting cells. This algorithm processes microscope images and counts the cells inside the three-line grid and on top of the left and upper grid. It divides into delineation of the ROI and segmentation and counting of the cells. The inner square and the grid were processed seperately and combined after cells segmentation. The algorithm shows 86.3% of recall, 89.1% of precision and 86.9% of F-measure.

This project was developed under the scope of the curricular unit Biomedical Imaging Analysis in the 3rd year of the bachelor in Bioengineering (2020).
